Home/Blog/Coming up/Indie Gig Guide: Live music from Buffalo NY

posted on August 15, 2020

Finally, finally, we, the Indie music lovers, can enjoy some live music again. Sometimes from a distance or with safety masks, but still face to face, live & kicking! It seems for Frequenzy the perfect moment to introduce our Indie Gig Guide. It’s a blog series where we inform you where and when you can enjoy live music in the new normal. And since we meet bands and music lovers from all over the world at our platform, the Indie Gig Guide tells you about upcoming concerts worldwide. Starting today with Buffalo NY.

Niagara Falls around the corner, known as the city of good neighbours and bars that don’t close until 4 am (in non-Corona times, but it’s the spirit that counts): Buffalo has many things to be proud of. But the amount of venues for live music is from our point of view the best one. They are on all kind of levels and in all kind of sizes. In Buffalo you can enjoy live music: from the legendary popstars in a great arena, till the small bars with the new & upcoming. Also the local music scene is vivid with active bands and artists, especially the alternative music ones. So, enough music to discover, enjoy and experience at a night out in Buffalo NY. Here’s what to expect & look forward to this Fall in Bufallo NY:

Sep 30 – Solid Indie rock with The Unlikely Candidates

the unlikely candidates

The Unlikely Candidates will close the month September with some good indie rock.
Based out of Fort Worth, Texas, The Unlikely Candidates are an indie rock band initially formed as an acoustic duo by childhood friends Kyle Morris and Cole Male in 2008. Eventually expanding the lineup to include guitarist Brenton Carney, bassist Jared Hornbeek, and drummer Kevin Goddard, the band was also able to expand its sound in bigger, more sweeping directions.
