After a year of single releases, live videos, creative detours and concerts, the debut album “Countryman’” from the dusty and pure folk-pop and beat/funk collective Wanna Be Brothers is finally being released.

The album’s first sketches appeared a few years ago and since then the band has been working on developing its sound, mix and future plans. “The first followers on our pages may know some of the songs as they have been able to follow the process while others will hear the songs for the first time.”

The singles “The Sun Going Down In A Disco”, “Countryman” and “I Don’t Play Like That” have received AirPlay on foreign radio stations in the UK, Germany, Australia etc, but also on Danish National radio station P3.

Wanna Be Brothers is already working on album number 2 and plans to release new songs as soon as the dust from this album settles.

About single “I Don’t Play Like That (Don’t Give A Fuck)” the Independent Music News: “Has anyone ever felt the urge to get into their car late at night, drive to a mountain top that overlooks a city, then watch modern-day society revel in its madness? I have, and these occasions only occur when I’m at rock bottom. When the self-esteem levels are low, and the depression is slowly creeping in. I observe the overindulging, the narcissistic and egotistical characters, all while grappling internal negative thoughts. It’s not healthy, but it’s a coping mechanism. Fortunately, I now have a soundtrack to accompany these reflective nights. “I Don’t Play Like That (Don’t Give A Fuck)” by Wanna Be Brothers is a song that revolves around deprivation, doubt and self-esteem. ” (full article here)
