The sounds of your roots can be the inspiration to create really good music. Nusantara Beat is no exception to that, but comes with an exceptional fresh style. That’s why it was one of the notable acts at 2023 edition of ESNS.

Nusantara Beat consists of members from various well-known Dutch indie bands: Jungle By Night, POM, The Mysterons, Altin Gun, Surf Aid-Kit and EUT. The band members are all 1st, 2nd en 3rd generation Dutch Indonesians that are rediscovering their roots through the music.

The music of Nusantara Beat is a blend of the melancholic sounds of Indonesian songs from the twentieth century with western sixties grooves.

The band will release 2 tracks at the beginning of this year and we hope to see their name added to many lineups of festivals this summer. Nusantara Beat is one to watch for 2023!
