Artist Berry Galazka takes inspiration to songwriting from art, fashion, psychology and philosophy via a magpie-like approach. Berry Galazka grew up in Florida, immersed in a melting pot of cultures, visions of colourful babushkas and delicious pierogi from her Polish grandmother. She moved to London to pursue a hard-edged alternative sound, merging two loves: distorted guitars popularised by My Chemical Romance and RATM with modern, hard-hitting hip hop drums (Kendrick Lamar, Denzel Curry). Second EP ‘Leash’ (February 2023) features Joe Garrett (IAMDDB, ZAYN) and producer ATG (Burna Boy, Sneakbo). ‘Leash’ is a conceptual project inspired by a Dali painting. Each icon is tied to a song and thru each song Galazka is telling the story of going off the leash of expectation and answering the hero’s journey call. It’s a hard thing to go off the leash because you will lose people in your life, when you talk it’ll be like you’re speaking a different language, but that doesn’t mean turn back!

She is one of the first names that Eurosonic announced for the line-up of their upcoming edition. Here she will represent Poland which is the focus country of the showcase festival in January 2024.
