Today will be a hot, hot, hot edition of StadsOase, the summer Sunday afternoon festival from Gigant in July and August. The sun will shine and Swiss band L’Eclair will heat things up with their kraut-exo-soul-brutal-funk-turkish-groove. After a year working new songs and perfecting their Swiss Groove™ on any stage they could, L’Eclair took their guitars and shitty old synths to Jasper Geluk’s Tone Boutique studio in Haarlem, Netherlands, where he’s laid down the smooth sounds of the Allah Las, Jacco Gardner and Eerie Wanda. “Polymood” is an expansion on L’Eclair’s quest to channel and honor their Afro-Disco, cosmic, and early House 70’s influences. Sun-soaked funk ‘n’ soul
Their music can be best described as classic melodic pop with a funk ‘n’ soul twist, drenched in sunshine. Young Gun Silver Fox will release their album this fall.
