Melbourne seems to me a perfect place to start a surf-dream-pop-rock band. Majak Door is an excellent example of this assumption. August 5th the band released the dreamy “Smoke in the air.”

The track refers to the devastating wildfires in Australia in 2020. “Smoke in the air” is a preview from their upcoming selftitled debut album. It will be released at September 17.

About the upcoming album: “The upcoming album touches on many different areas; nostalgia, friendship, politics, and anything else that crosses the mind of a 20-something-year-old.” (full article here)

We’ve added “Everybody wants you” from Majak Door to our August Indie/Pop Playlist.
