“It’s about cold manipulation and people who operate outside the heart.” South-London, Scottish-Bengali musician Tara Lily shares her dramatic new single ‘No Way Out’, a siren song about “meeting people who draw you in but are not who they say they are and being trapped by them.”

‘No Way Out’ marries atmospheric piano, otherworldly Indian drones, ethereal strings and ghostly vocals into a pensive modern ballad. Blending elements of contemporary jazz, soul and trip-hop, the song also closes with spoken rhythmic teental, a form of Indian classical counting. The new single follows Tara’s India and Nepal tour which featured a standout performance on the mainstage at Sunsplash Festival, Goa.
