It’s like the sound of whispering the words “Beacon Margarita”. Words that don’t mean anything yet but have the potential to be the first ones of a great story. It’s like the song you want to feel pounding through your body, the one that helps you endure your daily tribulations. For example to deal with the boundless positivity of your team leader. Music can be everything, even if it sometimes means nothing—and that’s why creating music is the most beautiful and, at the same time, the hardest thing to do. This is the starting point of inspiring conversations between talented, up-and-coming artists from the Netherlands and artists from around the world in Far Out, our brand-new podcast series. Here we share the stories about Beacon Margaritas, team leaders and other things that lead to the creation of wonderful songs.
In the first episode of the podcast series, our host Tony invites you to meet Groningen-based punk band TAXITAXI and musician Edoardo Elia from the Italian band Puà. Although the dreamy psychedelic sound of Puà and the raw punk of the 3 Groningen men couldn’t be more different, the musicians find much to connect over in each other’s stories about making music, life, and surviving in a band. The upcoming edition of Eurosonic in January is the reason why we invited these 2 bands to sit down and talk about their music and life as musicians in Rome and Groningen. Eurosonic is the showcase festival where Groningen offers a platform for emerging European artists to present themselves to the international music industry. This year’s focus country is Italy.
With Far Out we want to dive into different music and art scenes, featuring live sessions, music videos, deep conversations, and personal stories that showcase the creative journeys of our guests. The podcast explores the evolving world of music and culture, highlighting the challenges and opportunities facing today’s artists. It delves into themes like digital innovation, mental health, diversity, inclusion, and the rise of new revenue models and streaming platforms. Far Out is a platform where artists share experiences, exchange ideas, and navigate the rapidly changing landscape of the music industry.
