Art inspires: watch this secretly shot museum music video

“The MET ( Metropolitan Museum of Art) is an interesting location because it is filled with sculptures and images that are saturated with meaning and power. As a location, it’s rich territory.”*  That’s why FIN choose this place as the set to shoot, secretly, a music video.

Covertly shot on cellphones at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Daughters features a special collaborative performance by FIN (Rebecca Fin Simonetti), FlucT (Monica Mirabile & Sigrid Lauren), and Eartheater (Alexandra Drewchin). The video weaves the collaborative site-specific performance with native advertisements, found footage, and a video advertising pink insulation cutting tools.

The video shows the artistic luxuriance of the museum.  But it also highlights the dark connection between art and power…
