Bob Marley 72: Celebrating the legend with an unique recording session

72 years ago a legend was born. Bob Marley gave the world peace, inspiration and music.  At Frequenzy we do sessions because we love the music. That’s why we celebrate the birthday of this legend (February 6) with a fragment of an unique recording session and the news that there are new tapes found & restored.

Pure, powerful & from his mothers’ bedroom

In 1971 Marley recorded some songs at the bedroom of his mother. ‘Jailbreaker’ was one of these songs.

Lost tapes restored

“A cache of lost Bob Marley recordings has been discovered after lying for more than 40 years in a damp London hotel basement.

The 13 reel-to-reel, analogue master tapes were discovered in cardboard box files in a run-down hotel in Kensal Rise, north-west London, the modest lodgings where Bob Marley and the Wailers stayed during their European tours in the mid-1970s.” Read more here
