Born in Saudi Arabia, Alewya and her family moved to West London as refugees when she was five. By the time she reached 19, she began experimenting with music and art. Armed with the influences of her upbringing – the Moroccan community surrounding her home, the local mosque, her Egyptian and Ethiopian heritage, her Afro-Caribbean friends – she was deeply immersed in the many cultures that shaped her area. Now they influence her multidimensional style which goes from sweaty club music to nu-metal and dance pop with the multi-talented Alewya playing the guitar in the Arabic scale. Alewya has been added to the line-up from showcase festival ESNS 2022.

Debt EP “Panther in Mode” will be released November 18th
