Silklake is the project of Russian singer songwriter Egor Berdnikov. Born in a small Russian far-eastern town called Komsomolsk-on-Amur and now living in Moscow, Egor is a songwriter with a strong emphasis on memorable acoustic-friendly melodies.

The music video of debut single “On Your Side” has recently been released at February 4.

About “On Your Side”:

“As for the story behind lyrics of this song, I wrote it after I listened to “An American Prayer” by The Doors. That’s why there’s a lot of stuff like “secret garden” and so on. Quite in Morrison’s style. But actually it’s a song about how some people prefer stay children inside and follow their dreams despite of ages” (full story at Obscure Sound)
